Tentacle Wars: The Purple Menace Walkthrough

Tentacle Wars: The Purple Menace is a strategy game that is the sequel to Tentacle Wars and whose title may or may not be a reference to Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Tentacle Wars: The Purple Menace features twenty new levels, improved AI, and a new enemy to face.

Tentacle Wars: The Purple Menace puts you in command of green microbes as you attempt to protect your word from the alien purple microbes. As in the first Tentacle Wars, your objective is to capture all alien microbes while avoiding capture yourself. Each zone is completed when all alien colors have been wiped out, but you will lose if all green cells are captured. If you fail, you have unlimited attempts to retry the level. If you need to take a break, you may return to this strategy game from where you left off at a later time by taking advantage of its automatic save feature.

If you are familiar with the first Tentacle Wars, then playing Tentacle Wars: The Purple Menace will be a breeze for you since the same gameplay and controls apply in this iteration of the strategy game. To create a tentacle, click from one of your cells and drag to the cell that you wish to send a tentacle to. Sending a tentacle to a friendly cell will reinforce it, while sending a tentacle to an enemy cell will launch an attack against it.

The same general tactics that worked in the first Tentacle Wars also work in this strategy game. Try to keep your cells as strong as possible to avoid them being captured by the AI. As we have learned in the Art of War, it is best to attack the enemy where they are weak. The AI in this game has improved slightly, but a human player should eventually be able to outwit it.

If you enjoyed the first Tentacle Wars, then you will enjoy Tentacle Wars: The Purple Menace. Not much has changed in this strategy game, but if you liked the first, then the twenty new, challenging zones of Tentacle Wars: The Purple Menace should keep you entertained.
