Sands of the Coliseum Walkthrough

Sands of the Coliseum is a strategy fighting game presented by the fine developers at Berzerk Studio. This fighting game features outstanding animation, a rocking metal soundtrack, and

When you first start Sands of the Coliseum, you will have the choice between playing as a male gladiator or a female gladiator (or gladiatrix; as a historical note, gladiatrices did fight in the arenas of the Roman Empire, but they were very rare). Male characters start with more strength while female characters start with higher charisma. It may also behoove you to connect to Facebook or a GamerSafe account to access perks such as additional money and morale boosts. Connecting the game to one of these sites will also allow you to battle against your friends in multiplayer games!

The objective of Sands of the Coliseum is to defeat your opponents in the arena. Combat is turn-based, with each character taking a turn to execute their moves. When attacking, you must choose a body part on your opponent to attack. Attacking certain areas will have an effect on their performance. For example, attacking the head or torso will deal more damage while attacks the limbs will reduce your opponent's accuracy. Dealing enough damage to a specific area may also cause your opponent to bleed out.

Between fights, you will be able to buy superior equipment for your character and upgrade his or her set of skills. Skills are upgraded in a fashion similar to the upgrade system of a role-playing game. You can upgrade your base skills by clicking on the appropriate buttons on the left, or unlock and improve various techniques by choosing the options on the right. How you upgrade your character is based on the type of fighting style that you wish to employ in this strategy game. I strove to develop a power character, so invested most of my points in strength and in techniques under the Thraex technique path.

Sands of the Coliseum is not exactly historically-accurate, but you are here for a game, not a history lesson. If you can ignore the historical inaccuracies and focus on the outstanding gameplay, you will have an awesome experience with this strategy game. Do you have what it takes to become the greatest gladiator (or gladiatrix) of all time? Find out in Sands of the Coliseum!
