Rebuild Walkthrough
Rebuild is a simulation game that is a wonderful blend of SimCity and the survival horror game genre. This strategy game features artistic cartoon graphics, atmospheric audio, and five difficulty levels to choose from.
Rebuild puts you in charge of a small town that is rebuilding during a zombie apocalypse. The people have become tired of running, and want to make a stand. It is up to you to ensure the survival of your township.
When you first begin a game in Rebuild, you are given the opportunity to name your city and set its size, name your leader, set your leader's gender, and select the difficulty of the game. If you are new to this strategy game, I advise you to select 10 x 10 for your city's size, and set the game's difficulty to easy. I know that many players hate playing games on easy, but even the normal difficulty provides a major challenge in this strategy game! Once you are done with this, you will be ready to begin play.
Rebuild starts you off with a tutorial. If it is your first time playing Rebuild, I strongly advise you not to skip the tutorial since it is very helpful with teaching the basics of gameplay. Clicking on buildings or hovering over objects in the interface for the first time will display a short description about each item's purpose.
In Rebuild, you will have to carefully manage resources in order to survive. People are your most valuable resource. When you send your citizens on missions, you must select the proper people for the job. Soldiers are used to defend your city and to kill zombies in areas that you are trying to reclaim, teachers teach skills to other survivors, scavengers excel at finding food, builders build more efficiently, and scientists are great at research. Hover your mouse over a person's name to see their profession. Once you get the hang of this strategy game, you will quickly be able to tell a person's profession by looking at the icon to the left of their name.
As your city grows in this strategy game, you will have to make sure that you have enough food and living quarters for your citizens. Build or capture farms in order to provide food for your people. Each person consumes one unit of food each day, so build enough farms to produce at least one unit of food for each of your town's residents.
Being the mayor of a post-apocalyptic town is strenuous work. Not to worry; your progress is automatically saved after each day, and you may resume your game at a later time if you so choose.
Rebuild is great game for gamers that love killing zombies, but would rather send others to do the dirty work. This strategy game also features a different randomly-generated cityscape in each new game, so you're sure to face different challenges each time. Humanity needs you! Do your part to restore society in Rebuild.
