Penguin Diner 2 Walkthrough

Penguin Diner 2 is the sequel to the restaurant management game, Penguin Diner. Penguin Diner 2 retains the same overall gameplay as well as the controls of its predecessor but also sports superior graphics and new upgrades.

The goal of Penguin Diner 2 is the same as that of the first Penguin Diner: to satisfy your customers and earn the necessary amount of money each day! Serve customers quickly to earn bigger tips and prevent them from storming off in frustration. Outstanding performance will earn stars which can be used to unlock new uniforms and decorations. As was the case in this tycoon game's predecessor, your progress is automatically saved at the end of each day, so you can continue your business operations the next time that you play.

Penguin Diner 2 uses the same mouse control scheme of the first Penguin Diner. Click on customers that enter your establishment to select them, then click on empty tables to seat them. When a customer is ready to order, click on them to take their order. The cook will prepare the dish, and slide it out to the counter when it is ready. Click on the dish to pick it up, then click on the proper customer to serve them. Penny can carry up to two dishes at once. When a customer finishes eating, click on their table to collect your money and clear the table for new customers.

Unlike the first Penguin Diner, Penguin Diner 2 allows you to use all of the money earned to purchase upgrades (that is the beauty of owning your own business!). Skates, entertainment, and seat upgrades make a reappearance in this tycoon game, and serve the same functions of increasing Penny's movement speed, keeping customers patient, and increasing the values of tips respectively. New upgrades are also available to help you in this restaurant game, the most important being chefs. Hiring chefs decreases the amount of time that you must wait for the food to be prepared. Chefs are expensive, but they are worth it, so I advise saving up to hire a chef before buying any other upgrade.

Penguin Diner 2 is a slightly more complex tycoon game than its predecessor, but it is still not too complicated for casual gamers. If you enjoyed the first Penguin Diner, then you will love Penguin Diner 2!
