Bloons Tower Defense 3 Walkthrough
Bloons Tower Defense 3 is the third installment of the Bloons Tower Defense series of tower defense games, which is in turn an offshoot of Bloons, one of the most successful Flash games of all time. Bloons Tower Defense 3 retains the charm of the first two games of the series, but features better graphics than its predecessors and eight tracks to choose from.
The objective of Bloons Tower Defense 3 is to prevent the balloons from traveling past the end of the trail. If you allow a balloon to slip by your defenses, you will lose a life. If you lose all of your lives, then you will lose the game. To win this tower defense game, you must survive fifty waves on your selected map.
In order to stop the balloons in Bloons Tower Defense 3, you must strategically place towers to pop the balloons. You will start out placing the basic dart monkey towers, but as you progress in this tower defense game you will want to use cannons, ice balls, and other types of towers to defeat the balloons. The type of tower that you choose and the location that you place it largely depends upon the map that you are playing on and the types of balloons present. In all cases, it is best to place towers where they can hit balloons on multiple stretches of path. Money is scarce in this tower defense game, so you will want to make sure that your towers are placed as efficiently as possible.
Besides choosing the right towers for the job, you will will also want to choose the right upgrades for your towers. Each tower type in Bloons Tower Defense 3 features two upgrade paths with two levels each. The types of upgrades that you choose once again depends on the map that you are playing on. I have found that upgrading your cannon towers to have bigger bombs, followed by frag bombs is always a good choice, however.
Not only do you have towers at your disposal, but you also have items such as road spikes, monkey glue, and pineapple bombs in your arsenal. I advise using these items sparingly, however, since they are only one-use items that will disappear after a certain effect limit or at the end of the round that they are placed. These items may be helpful in a pinch, but relying upon them is not cost-effective. There is a reason why Bloons Tower Defense 3 is a tower defense game, not an item defense game!
Bloons Tower Defense 3 is a delightful and addicting strategy game from Ninjakiwi. If you are a fan of the tower defense game genre, then be sure to check out Bloons Tower Defense 3!
